Her consistent playmaking and court leadership separated her from the pack, making her the first NCAA product to win the Player of the Week award.
“Lahat naman talaga gusto makapasok sa play-ins eh, and kumuha ako ng motivation sa mga teammates ko kasi nakikita kong gusto din nila,” Mondoñedo said. “So ako, ginagawa ko talaga ‘yung best ko na maayos ko ‘yung trabaho ko para sa team.”
Mondoñedo’s numbers prove her impact
Mondoñedo’s stats highlight her dominance as a setter:
- 24 excellent sets, 2 points vs. Cignal

Her court vision, quick decision-making, and ability to distribute the ball efficiently were key in ZUS Coffee’s success, proving why she is one of the most reliable setters in the PVL.
More challenges ahead
With ZUS Coffee preparing for a quarterfinal showdown against Petro Gazz, Mondoñedo remains focused on leading her team to greater heights.
“For me, laban talaga kasi ito ‘yung gusto namin eh. Kaya nga kami nandito kasi para lumaban and ipakita sa lahat ‘yung skills namin,” she said.
As the Thunderbelles continue their journey, Mondoñedo’s recognition as Player of the Week is a testament to her growth, leadership, and skill as one of the top playmakers in the PVL.
