Breaking from a grappling exchange, Rizwan landed a powerful strike that floored Srikant, earning him a stoppage victory and improving his record to an impressive 9-0.

“I told everyone I would finish this in the first round. I want to thank my team, my fans, and BRAVE Combat Federation for giving me this platform. This is just the beginning,” Rizwan said after his win.

This victory marks Rizwan’s second triumph over Srikant. The two previously faced off at BRAVE CF 85 in Pakistan, where Rizwan earned a third-round knockout in their first encounter.

In a poignant moment following the fight, 33-year-old Srikant Sekhar announced his retirement from professional MMA. A trailblazer for Indian MMA, Srikant represented his country on the global stage throughout a 13-year-long career.

Leaving his gloves in the cage as a symbolic gesture, Srikant thanked his supporters and BRAVE Combat Federation for the opportunities he had.

“There are ups and downs in the game. I have died by the sword, and I have lived by the sword. But it doesn’t feel the same anymore. I think it’s time for me to hang up the gloves, and I’m glad I’m doing it at BRAVE Combat Federation,” Srikant said.

Srikant’s contribution to the sport has inspired a generation of Indian MMA fighters, and his retirement marks the end of an era for Indian MMA.
