PVL brings volleyball fever to Cebu with thrilling matchups

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is bringing its electrifying energy to Cebu, with the Minglanilla Sports Complex set to host an action-packed doubleheader this Saturday, December 7. Volleyball fans in the Visayas are in for a treat as some of the country’s brightest stars take center stage.

Top Players and Local Talent Shine

Highlighting the weekend are volleyball standouts Vanie Gandler (Cignal), Roma Mae Doromal (Capital1), Chiara Permentilla (Nxled), and Jho Maraguinot (Galeries Tower). Adding a special touch to the event, Cebu’s very own Dimdim Pacres (Galeries Tower), Rica Rivera (Capital1), and Krich Macaslang (Nxled) are ready to showcase their skills in front of their home crowd.

“Cebu has produced some of the best volleyball talents in the country,” said PVL President Ricky Palou. “Bringing the PVL here is not just about entertaining fans but also about inspiring the next generation of volleyball players in the region.”

Exciting Matchups Await

The day kicks off at 4:00 p.m. with the undefeated HD Spikers (3-0) looking to extend their winning streak against the Nxled Chameleons (0-4). Led by Gandler, Ces Molina, and Dawn Catindig, Cignal is set to face Nxled’s determined lineup featuring Macaslang, Permentilla, and Lycha Ebon, who are eager to claim their first win of the season.

In the second match at 6:30 p.m., the Capital1 Solar Spikers (1-3) aim to build on their maiden victory as they clash with the Galeries Tower Highrisers (0-4). Doromal, Rivera, and Leila Cruz lead the charge for Capital1, while Pacres, Maraguinot, and France Ronquillo will fight to secure Galeries Tower’s breakthrough win.
