6:00 p.m. – King Crunchers vs Martelli Meats Master Butchers

The King Crunchers are poised to extend their winning momentum as they clash with the Martelli Meats Master Butchers in Wednesday’s 2024 Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. With a 3-1 record, the Crunchers aim to secure their fourth win and a potential three-way tie for third place.

After a challenging five-set loss to their rivals, Cignal HD Spikers, the Crunchers bounced back with a decisive three-set victory over the PGJC Navy Sealions last Friday. With a 6:00 p.m. showdown set against the Master Butchers, who hold a winless 0-5 record, the Crunchers enter as the clear favorites.

Despite their strong record, the Crunchers are not taking the Master Butchers lightly. Jude Garcia, one of their leading scorers, emphasized the team’s need to remain focused and prepared. “Kailangan talagang mag-prepare pa kami sa darating na games naming, especially malapit na ‘yung semis. Kailangan 100 percent, every practice and every game,” Garcia stated.

Alongside Garcia, teammates Francis Saura and Nico Almendras are determined to keep the team’s momentum going. On the other side, Master Butchers’ Jerome Cordez and Angelo Reyes aim to upset the Crunchers as they search for their first victory of the season.

A win for the Crunchers would place them in a tie with Cignal HD Spikers and the Savouge Spin Doctors, strengthening their position just behind the undefeated DN Steel FEU Ultras (6-0) and EcoOil La Salle Green Oilers (4-0). This victory could set the stage for an intense semifinal race, as PGJC Navy remains in contention with a 3-3 standing.

In the 4:00 p.m. opener, Chichi DHTSI will go head-to-head with VNS. Both teams are eager to break their respective losing streaks, with the Titans’ Matt Miguel and Jonathan Sorio facing off against the Griffins’ CJ Segui and Roderick Medino. Fans can expect a fierce battle as these teams fight to improve their standings.

As the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference approaches its climax, each match takes on added significance, promising fans a thrilling showdown as the league’s top teams race toward the finals.
