The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses and De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Spikers are both poised to extend their winning streaks as they compete against their respective rivals in the ongoing V-League Collegiate Challenge at the Paco Arena in Manila on Sunday, August 25.

UST Golden Tigresses Seek Fourth Consecutive Win

The UST Golden Tigresses are on the hunt for their fourth consecutive victory as they clash with the St. Benilde Lady Blazers in the women’s division. The Golden Tigresses have been in formidable form, securing wins against the Lyceum Lady Pirates, UE Lady Warriors, and FEU Lady Tamaraws. Despite their strong start, head coach Kungfu Reyes emphasizes the need for continuous improvement, stating, “Paunti-unti na nagkakaroon ng resulta kung ano pinaghihirapan ng players, pero need pa rin ng enhancement, enhancement, at enhancement.” The match is set to kick off at 10:00 a.m.

The Lady Blazers, who have rebounded with two straight victories after dropping their first two matches, are expected to give UST a tough challenge in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

DLSU Green Spikers Aim to Stretch Their Streak to Five

In the men’s division, the DLSU Green Spikers are focused on extending their winning streak to five as they go head-to-head against the FEU Tamaraws at 3:00 PM. La Salle’s young stars, Rui Ventura and Eugene Gloria, will be pivotal in their quest for another victory. However, FEU, led by key players like Jelord Talisayan and Dryx Saavedra, are equally determined to secure a win that would put them in a tie for the lead at 4-1. “We’ll make sure yung lapses na na-encounter namin sa last game ay mabago namin para at least, maihanda namin against FEU,” said DLSU mentor Jose Roque.

Other Matches to Watch At 12:00 p.m., the FEU Lady Tamaraws aim to improve their 2-2 record and secure a share of second place alongside the idle UP Fighting Maroons as they face the struggling UE Lady Warriors, who hold a 1-2 record.

In the final match of the day at 5:00 p.m., both NU and Ateneo will be looking to bounce back. The NU Bulldogs are eager to end their two-game losing streak, while the Ateneo Blue Eagles are determined to snap a three-game skid.

Where to Watch

All matches will be broadcast live on Solar Sports, vleague.ph/live, and the V-League’s official YouTube channel. Don’t miss the action as the Golden Tigresses and Green Spikers strive to keep their winning momentum alive.
