Bucks: Giannis Antetokounmpo drops 2-Word Reaction on first clash with Victor Wembanyama

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is the latest NBA star to give San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama props.

The two-time NBA MVP went head-to-head with the French center, helping the Bucks pull off a 125-121 win over the Spurs on Thursday, January 4.

Giannis Antetokounmpo awed by Wembanyama

Antetokounmpo was awed by the top pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, admitting that he had never seen anyone like Wemby.

“He’s an unbelievable talent. Can score at will, any time he wants,” Antetokounmpo said. “He plays the right way, plays to win. It was great playing against him.”

The Greek Freak finished with a game-high 44 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, two steals and a block in the Bucks’ win.

Wembanyama had a good showing as well in the loss. The birthday boy finished with 27 markers, including two three-point shots to go with nine rebounds and five blocks. One of those blocks was against Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks will next face the Houston Rockets on Saturday, January 6, looking to make it back-to-back wins.

On the other side, the Spurs will next face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, January 7. San Antonio is currently on a four-game losing streak.
