BRAVE CF 73: Cado vs Ramos super welterweight clash set

Another electric fight has been confirmed for BRAVE CF 73 as Luiz Cado and Vernon Ramos prepare to square off at super welterweight on August 12.

There was already a whole lot of intrigue heading into next month’s card in Bogota, and now, there’s one more reason to tune in. Luiz Cado, a kickboxing sensation from Brazil, will take on Vernon Ramos, the first ever Panamanian to compete in BRAVE.

Cado, known as “Golden Boy,” made a real splash on his BRAVE debut last summer when he finished Luis Felipe Dias in a violent fashion. Ever since then, he’s been desperate to get back in the cage and prove what he can do to the world – with this serving as perhaps his biggest opportunity yet since turning professional.

As for Ramos, this isn’t his first rodeo. The 8-1 athlete is a UFC veteran who competed on The Ultimate Fighter, and with a five-fight win streak under his belt, it’s not exactly a surprise to hear that he’s feeling confident. This is the kind of chance he’s been waiting for, and you can bet he’s going to seize it with both hands.

Ramos has victories over former BRAVE fighters Ivan Castillo and Mauricio Otalora which, in itself, speaks volumes to his pedigree. After initially kickstarting his combat sports journey in karate, it wasn’t until around 2010 that he made his way into the sport after watching jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts more frequently.

Cado, meanwhile, has grown up knowing how to fight. He was born into a poor neighborhood with many bad influences around him, but alongside his sister, he was inspired to venture into kickboxing. From politics to football and beyond, he has many loves outside of the gym, but he’s never given up on his dream of becoming a world champion.

Keep your eyes peeled for this one because there are bound to be some major fireworks as BRAVE prepares to wow the Colombian crowd and the endless fans watching at home with an event they’ll never forget.
