BRAVE CF has confirmed a bantamweight rematch between Lasha Abramishvili and Brice “Lion Kid” Picaud, scheduled for June 6 at Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in partnership with World Freefight Challenge. The bout carries significant implications for the division’s rankings and potential title contention at 135 pounds.

Abramishvili enters the contest as the No. 2-ranked contender, while Picaud holds the No. 5 position in the bantamweight division, setting up a high-level rematch between two fighters positioned near the top of the rankings. Their first meeting took place at BRAVE CF 97 in July 2025, where Abramishvili secured a second-round submission victory via rear-naked choke.

Abramishvili said the rematch represents another step toward his goal of fighting for a world title, emphasizing that each bout brings him closer to a championship opportunity. He remains undefeated in BRAVE CF competition with all victories coming by stoppage.

Picaud welcomed the chance to run it back, stating that he has been waiting for an opportunity to even the score and reassert himself in the division. He added that he expects a significantly improved performance in the rematch compared to their first encounter.

Bantamweight division stakes intensify

The bantamweight division continues to tighten at the top as both fighters remain in the title conversation. Abramishvili’s undefeated promotional record and finishing ability have established him as one of the leading contenders at 135 pounds.

A second victory over Picaud would further strengthen his case for a future title shot against reigning BRAVE CF bantamweight world champion Borislav Nikolić. The rematch therefore serves as a key moment in determining the next challenger in the division.

The Ljubljana card also features a heavyweight world title bout between champion Pavel Dailidko and top contender Miha Frlic in the main event. The co-headliner includes a light heavyweight title rematch between Erko Jun and Mohamed Said Maalem.
