Universal Robina Corporation’s (URC) dog food brand, TopBreed, has renewed its commitment to support the University of the Philippines Men’s Basketball Team (UPMBT) through a new partnership deal formalized on August 21 at the UP Executive House.

As part of URC’s Agro-Industrial Group (URC-AIG), TopBreed has been a proud sponsor of the Fighting Maroons since 2020. The relationship between URC-AIG and UPMBT began in 2018 through Robina Farms, a premium farm products unit under URC-AIG.

The renewed partnership for UAAP Season 87 was cemented by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement. The signing ceremony was attended by URC-AIG Managing Director Vincent Henry Go, URC-AIG Supply Chain Director Rafael Jose Ruiz, nowheretogobutUP Chairman Jed Eva, and Coach Christian Luanzon, who represented head coach Goldwin Monteverde.

He emphasized that TopBreed’s dedication to product quality and teamwork aligns closely with the Maroons’ championship spirit.

UPMBT Manager Atty. Agaton Uvero expressed deep gratitude for URC-AIG’s continued support. “TopBreed has been a reliable partner since October 2020, even during the challenges brought by the pandemic. Their presence has been invaluable to our team.”

Bo Perasol, UP OASD Director, also praised the ongoing partnership, emphasizing the priceless moral support that TopBreed provides by attending games and rallying behind the Fighting Maroons.
