Two Filipino athletes are assured of proper backing in their 2024 Paris Olympics stint. ArenaPlus, the 24/7 sports betting app, fully supports the campaign of gymnast Carlos Yulo and boxer Eumir Marcial in their bid for glory this July.
In a recent press conference, ArenaPlus, known for making every major sports event fun and entertaining, announced Yulo and Marcial as their ambassadors.
This season, the brand creates a truly enjoyable Paris Olympics 2024 experience through its “Ginto para sa Astig na Atleta” campaign, aiming to support Pinoy athletes in their quest for Paris gold while also keeping it entertaining for all.
In his opening remark, Total Gamezone Xtreme Inc. President Rafael Jasper Vicencio shared the company’s vision for sports and entertainment.
“The brand is here not only to entertain but, more importantly, to let you know that ArenaPlus is one of those brands that is open to supporting and standing up for our athletes like Carlos and Eumir,” he stated.
Also, Andy Tsui, the President of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., expressed the brand’s commitment to supporting Filipino athletes.
“ArenaPlus is poised to be the leading sports entertainment gateway for Filipinos, and one of our commitments is to support and build collaborations with organizations and athletes whose passion is to uplift and inspire more Filipinos to pursue their dreams and persevere in becoming successful Olympians, such as Carlos and Eumir,” Tsui added.
With the Olympics just around the corner, Yulo shared that his training focus shifted to strengthen his performance for certain parts of the Olympic order. Yulo observed that he would perform solidly in the vault, so more effort would go into other facets as he maintained proficiency.
“It’s more on sa execution po, especially sa floor, yung mga landings at yung mga sa air. More focus on landings talaga po ako this time,” Yulo said, acknowledging the challenge of performing twists and sticking solid landings.
Yulo exuded the confidence of an athlete with great support behind him as he openly answered each question thrown his way. Part of this confidence has been attributed to the partnership he has with ArenaPlus as one of the brand’s newest ambassadors.
“Maraming maraming salamat po na recognize niyo po ako at gusto niyo ko supportahan. Ibubuhos ko lahat at tatapatan ko po yung mga suportahan at salamat sa suporta niyong lahat at ipagdasal natin ang mga kasaling atleta sa Olympics,” Caloy said.
President of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines, Cynthia L. Carrion shared her hope for Yulo.
“I hope and pray that Carlos wins a medal for the Philippines!” Carrion stated.
Despite the distance, Marcial managed to join the press conference from Las Vegas through a Zoom call. Eumir welcomed all questions thrown at him, particularly the ones on his preparations for the Olympics.
Marcial said that his preparations for the Paris Olympics began as far back as nearly four years ago, giving him the confidence to believe in his ability to bring home a gold medal. At the moment, he is currently training with his team in Vegas, including the previous mentor of the US team, Kay Koroma, who trained athletes for the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.
“Everyday, pinagaralan namin lahat na possibleng kalaban namin sa olympics,” Marcial said.
Marcial also gave a heartfelt message to the ArenaPlus community.
“To my ArenaPlus family, unang una po, gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa tiwala na binigay niyo samin, lalo na sa akin,” Marcial said. “Yung pagiging ambassador ko ay nagbigay samin ng inspirasyon dahil may mga tao na niwala samin na kaya namin makakuha ng gold sa Olympics.”
At the conclusion of the event, the brand launched its newest TVC with ArenaPlus Olympic ambassadors Yulo and Marcial, which also featured another endorser in Scottie Thompson.
This moment is what ArenaPlus draws inspiration from to pursue its mission to make sports fun and entertaining. The brand is in its best form to make the Paris Olympics 2024 memorable not only for the competing athletes but also for the fans and supporters who are rooting for them to bring pride for the country, keeping the fire burning towards “Ginto para sa Astig na Atleta.”
