BRAVE Combat Federation is set for a high-stakes return to Bulgaria, with local star Kaloyan Kolev facing Slovenian knockout specialist Nemanja “Sledgehammer” Kovač in a light heavyweight main event that promises fireworks at BRAVE CF 107 on Saturday, August 1, at Burgas Arena.

The clash brings together a hometown hero riding a 13-1-1 professional record against a hardened finisher determined to spoil the party, setting the stage for one of the promotion’s most explosive European headliners.

Kolev set to headline on home soil

Bulgaria’s Kaloyan Kolev enters the biggest fight of his career riding an impressive professional record of 13-1-1, with nine victories coming by knockout and two by submission, underlining his reputation as a dangerous and well-rounded finisher.

The 33-year-old made his BRAVE CF debut at BRAVE CF 97 in July 2025, where he went the distance in a hard-fought majority draw against Mohamed “L’Ambiance” Said Maalem.

Now, Kolev returns with added motivation and a clear target in mind: a statement victory on home soil that could push him closer to a potential rematch with Maalem, who recently captured the BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight World Title at BRAVE CF 106.

Speaking ahead of the bout, Kolev said:

“I have been waiting for this moment ever since my debut. Getting my second fight in BRAVE CF and doing it as the main event in front of my hometown crowd is something truly special. I am grateful for the opportunity and ready to show everyone what I am capable of on August 1.”

Kovač returns to make a statement

Standing across from him will be Slovenia’s Nemanja Kovač, a veteran with a professional record of 14-6 and a proven ability to finish fights, with nine wins by knockout.

Kovač previously competed twice under the BRAVE CF banner in 2021 and now returns to the promotion after a lengthy absence, determined to re-establish himself among the division’s elite.

The Slovenian fighter enters the contest full of confidence following a successful comeback to active competition, where he earned a unanimous decision victory over Brazilian MMA veteran Fábio Maldonado after a four-year hiatus from the sport.

Now, he is targeting a statement win in enemy territory.

“It feels great to be back in BRAVE CF after such a long time. This is exactly the kind of challenge I wanted. Fighting a hometown hero in a main event atmosphere motivates me even more. I am coming to Bulgaria to make a statement and prove that I belong among the best in the division,” Kovač said.

High-stakes main event in Burgas

With both fighters bringing proven finishing ability and a combined record featuring a high knockout rate, expectations are high for an explosive contest when BRAVE CF 107 lands in Burgas.

Kolev will look to capitalize on home advantage and extend his rise in the division, while Kovač aims to spoil the party and announce his return to BRAVE CF with a defining victory.

As BRAVE CF returns to Bulgaria, all eyes will be on Burgas Arena on August 1 for a main event built on power, momentum, and high-stakes ambition.
