The Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge unites fans in an unforgettable sporting experience, bringing together top national athletes and world-class international vaulters in a rare showcase of talent and pride. PUMA, as an official partner, highlights the athletes’ drive for greatness and offers exclusive event merchandise for fans to commemorate the moment.

Marking its debut as the first major event backed by Atletang Ayala, the challenge sets the stage for athletes to soar to new heights and push their limits in front of an energized crowd. For two days, from Sept. 20 to 21, Filipino fans will rally behind EJ Obiena as Ayala Triangle Gardens transforms into a premier athletics venue. The Asian record holder and 2023 World Athletics Championships silver medalist will return to the spotlight after his Paris Olympics campaign.

Local athletes step into the spotlight

The weekend begins Sept. 20 with a special Meet and Greet at One Ayala, where fans can meet their pole vault idols and interact with international competitors. On the same day, the National Pole Vault Competition runs from 2 to 5 p.m., showcasing rising Filipino athletes on the same platform as the world’s elite. This segment underscores the event’s mission to nurture homegrown talent and inspire the next generation.

International showdown takes over Makati

On Sept. 21, Ayala Triangle Gardens hosts the international clash as EJ Obiena faces nine of the world’s top vaulters, including Ersu Sasma (Turkey), Thibaut Collet (France), Oleg Zernikel (Germany), Ben Broeders (Belgium), Piotr Lisek (Poland), Menno Vloon (Netherlands), and Americans Austin Miller and Matt Ludwig. PUMA will offer exclusive event-day polos and t-shirts available only during the competition, giving fans a chance to take home limited-edition merchandise.
