TNT Tropang 5G put on a three-point shooting clinic to bury Meralco, 101-84, and clinch their third straight win in the 2025 PBA Philippine Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. RR Pogoy led the charge with 34 points, including five treys, while Calvin Oftana added 28 and five triples of his own.
The Tropang 5G hit 16-of-32 from deep and nailed a four-point play late in the game to outgun Meralco’s 3-of-20 showing from beyond the arc. With this win, TNT improved to 3-3 after opening the conference with three consecutive losses.

Fourth Quarter Run Seals Victory
TNT broke a 77-all tie in the fourth behind big baskets from Pogoy, Oftana, and Rey Nambatac. Pogoy’s clutch four-point play extended their lead to 97-82 with just over a minute remaining, putting the game out of reach.
Nambatac and Poy Erram also contributed with 13 and 10 points respectively, as TNT completed a turnaround with wins over San Miguel, Terrafirma, and Meralco. Coach Jojo Lastimosa’s squad now sits inside the Top Eight.
Meralco Falters Late Despite Balanced Attack
Cliff Hodge paced Meralco with 23 points while Chris Newsome added 18. The Bolts also got solid outings from Aaron Black (15), Raymond Almazan (12), and Bong Quinto (11), but couldn’t keep up in the final stretch.
The Bolts led 72-69 entering the fourth, but their defense collapsed under TNT’s long-range assault. Meralco now drops to 3-4 in the team standings.
