Southeast Asian Games medalists Ronald Oranza and Jan Paul Morales are among the 10 elite riders from the PhilCycling national men’s team set to compete across various squads in the much-anticipated Tour of Luzon: Great Revival, which kicks off Thursday, April 24, in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.
Oranza, who bagged two bronze medals in the Cambodia 2023 SEA Games, and Morales will ride under the banner of a UCI continental team, along with seasoned veteran Junrey Navarra. The trio will spearhead the Philippines’ push in the eight-stage event presented by Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. and organized by DuckWorld PH.
Defending national road champion Marcelo Felipe and rising talent Nichol Pareja will ride for Victoria Sports Pro Cycling Team, another UCI continental squad. Ruzzel Agapito will represent 7-Eleven Click Roadbike Philippines.

Under-23 standouts Steven Tablizo and Andrei Deudor will lead the Tom N Toms development squad, while Joshua Pacsual and Julius Tudtud are set to ride for Excellent Noodles and DReyna Orion Cement, respectively.
The Tour of Luzon 2025 opens with ceremonies in front of the historic San Agustin Church in Paoay. DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla and POC and PhilCycling President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino are expected to attend alongside local officials like Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Manotoc and Paoay Mayor Shiella Galano.
MPTC Chief Regulatory Officer Arrey Perez will deliver the opening remarks, while DuckWorld PH Chairman Patrick “Pató” Gregorio will officially start the race by ringing a symbolic cycling lap bell.
The overall individual champion will take home P500,000, while the top team will earn P1 million.
The Tour features 119 cyclists from 17 local and international teams, including Go For Gold Philippines, Dandex T-Prime Cycling Team, Exodus Army, MPT Drive Hub Cycling Team, 1 Team Visayas, One Cycling Mindanao, and Team Pangasinan.
International contenders include CCN Factory HK (Hong Kong), Malaysia Pro Cycling, Bryton Racing Team (Taiwan), and Gapyeong Cycling Team (South Korea), with some arriving earlier in the week via Clark and Laoag airports.
The 1,074.90-kilometer race will span the following stages:
